City Transit policies
Payment Policy
Clear terms help customers understand how services, payments and requests are handled.
Effective date: August 2026. This page explains standard payment practices. A written quote, booking confirmation, rental agreement or import agreement may contain additional terms.
Accepted methods
City Transit may accept approved bank, card, digital, cash or payment-link methods communicated at confirmation. Available methods may vary by service and location.
Currency and pricing
Prices will identify the currency. Bahamian and United States dollars may be treated at parity only where City Transit expressly confirms. Bank, foreign exchange and payment-provider charges may apply.
Deposits and authorization
Deposits or full prepayment may be required for rentals, imports, events, group bookings, purchases, long-distance trips or reserved vehicles. A payment is not complete until successfully received and not reversed.
Payment security
Online card payments must be handled through an approved PCI-compliant payment provider. Customers should never send full card numbers or security codes by email, ordinary contact form or WhatsApp.
Receipts and billing description
Customers will receive or may request a receipt. The billing descriptor shown on a card or bank statement should be disclosed at checkout when payment integration is activated.
Chargebacks and disputes
Customers should contact City Transit first to resolve billing concerns. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in suspension of service and recovery action where lawful.
Recurring and corporate billing
Corporate credit, invoicing and recurring arrangements require approval and separate written terms, including authorized bookers, limits and payment dates.
Payment integration notice
Before live online payments are enabled, City Transit and its bank or payment provider should confirm merchant identity, business registration, bank account, website ownership, service descriptions, contact information, pricing disclosures, privacy policy, terms, cancellation/refund rules, delivery or fulfillment timing, transaction security, and any card-brand or local regulatory requirements.
